ALIA URLs (ACT) is delighted to announce that our first speaker of 2007 will be Dr Markus Buchhorn, Director of Information and Communication Technology Environments in the Division of Information at the Australian National University. In 2006, Markus worked with Paul McNamara of the ANU Library on the Australian eResearch Sustainability Project (AERES). The AERES report was mentioned favourably in the December 2006 Prime Minister's Science, Engineering and Innovation Council (PMSEIC) Working Group report - From Data to Wisdom: Pathways to successful data management for Australian science.
