Low-profile access floor
While looking for desks for a learning center, I came across the Steelcase low-profile access floor. This has plastic posts and triangular steel tiles to create a 2.5 inch high false floor, for running cables under. Using triangular tiles is a clever idea as these will not rock if the supports are not quite level (as happens with square tiles). There is a detailed specification Guide (13.88 MB PDF) and a smaller brochure.
