Tasmanian National Parks Passes
Visits to Tasmanian National Parks require National Parks Passes. This is a complication the visitor may not realise. The cost is not high with $11.00 per day per person and $28.00 for eight weeks (or double that for a car with up to eight people) and annual passes for longer visits. It is worth keeping in mind you are supposed to pay, even if there is no ranger at the park to collect the money. There are also addition changes in some cases, such as for the Suttle bus from Cradle Mountain Transit Terminal to Dove Lake (free with the 8 week and longer passes).
