Australian Government ICT Review Submissions
The Australian Computer Society has invited members to contribute to a submission to the Review of Australian Government's Use of Information and Communication Technology. Other organizations and Individuals can make a submission direct to the ICT Review Secretariat by 30 May 2008. The Terms of Reference of the review are available. One area I have suggested the review look at is rationalizing online systems, starting with e-Recruitment.
Are you interested in being involved in preparing with the ACS Submission to the Gershon Review? This is an important task as this Review will impact on how the Australian Government will manage ICT services and resources into the future. The submission is due at the end of this month.
We are asking for volunteers to set up a virtual working party to develop the submission under the leadership of Len Joynson ACS National Policy Manager. This may require you to comment on the Terms of reference or the submission in various ways and add your experience and expertise as you are in Canberra and deal with these issues in your working life.
If you are interested please send your name and contact to Len Joynson ... by COB Tuesday. It is expected that all the work will be done online. ...
Any more questions please contact Canberra Region Manager Marion Reilly...
