- Exploring all multimedia opportunities in Canberra, Queanbeyan and surrounding areas
- Exploring all transmission mediums - broadcast cable, microwave etc
- Provides access to production facilities with the help of our trained staff
- Open to all individuals and community groups
- Providing training in television production
- An administration for the recipients of project grants
- Fostering an equal partnership with educational bodies for program transmission
- An umbrella and administrative organisation for all groups or individuals who believe in community television
Why do we want Community TV?
- To provide a communication medium for young and old, rich and poor, indigenous and multicultural
- To set in place an interactive medium for the future
- To explore the richness of our multicultural society in the Canberra region
- To give people the knowledge to make their TV programs from beginning to end
- To Foster a good working relationship with the public and private sectors
- To bring the wealth of educational resources we have in Canberra to the local and surrounding population
- A forum for community issues including how CATV resources should be used to facilitate our place in the multimedia revolution
- To teach people how to make quality children's and current affairs programs that are relevant to our community
