What are the alternatives?

use of Lotus Notes (or similar?) for collaborative learning purposes and dial-up access to information; remote work
why use Lotus Notes, is it better than the WWW or vice versa?

We have used Notes to design templates for:

• discussions
• joint development and review of deliverables
• project management
• a repository for completed work
• submission of work to a tutor and
• students are using these as IT support for group work.
