Call for presentations - Government Forum - 2 August 1999

"The Business of Government"

Internet World Australia's one day government forum is looking for Australia's top speakers on the topic of doing business with, and for, government on the Internet. You have until 30 March 1999 to prepare a speaking proposal, with innovative ideas on:

The government forum will again be chaired by Tom Worthington, first web master for the Australian Department of Defence, one of the ten most influential IT&T people in Australia and a director of the Internet Society of Australia. He will be joined this year by Ian Barndt from the Office of Government On-line and one of the founders of Internet for the Commonwealth Government.

Just fill in the web form with a few paragraphs about your proposed presentation and yourself and check the box for "Connecting Government" at: http://events.internet.com/aus.html

You can include a web links with more details (and those with previous on-line presentations, PR photos and bios already prepared will impress), but limit your proposal to the size requested. Offers will not be acknowledged, there will be no extension to the call for participation. Please call the conference chair, Tom Worthington, on 0419 496 150, with any queries.

If your proposal is accepted, you will be asked to prepare a presentation of about 30 minutes, with visuals. This isn't a stuffy academic conference, but you will also be asked to prepare a text version of your talk for the CD-ROM proceedings.

You will not be paid for your presentation, but will receive the opportunity to present your views to an influential audience on Internet, commerce and government. Complimentary registration to the Government forum and invitations to social functions, will be provided.
