Courses and Events

  1. The book ICT Sustainability: Assessment and Strategies for a Low Carbon Future, is available in print and electronic formats. These notes are used for the courses:

    • Green Technology Strategies: offered in the Computer Professional Education Program, Australian Computer Society (first run as "Green ICT Strategies" in February 2009),

    • ICT Sustainability (COMP7310), in the Graduate Studies Select program, Australian National University (first run as "Green Information Technology Strategies", July 2009), and

    • Green ICT Strategies (ACS25): offered in the Postgraduate Program of Open Universities Australia from 2010,

    A North American version of the course by Brian Stewart, Athabasca University (Canada) is also available: Green ICT Strategies (COMP 635).

  2. Green ICT Symposium 2008: A free half day event 14 November 2008 on environmentally sustainable ICT.
  3. Electronic Document Management: Course for government staff, first delivered at ANU, in October 2007.
  4. Greening ICT to address Global Downturn and Global Warming: A half day event 19 February 2008 on environmentally sustainable ICT for economic development.
  5. Foundations of Open: Technology and Digital Knowledge Local 2020 Summit: Local 2020 Summit held in Canberra, 3 April 2008.
  6. Writing for the Web: One day course run for local government staff, first run in 2007.
