Bar & Board Room, National Press Club, Canberra
Topic: The Top Ten Issues for Global Electronic Commerce
Special Guests: Prins Ralston FACS, President of the Australian Computer Society
and Other Delegates to the E-Commerce Summit
A national summit on electronic commerce, 'E-Commerce Enabling Australia', will be held 16 - 17 April in Parliament House, bringing together senior leaders of government, business, industry, service industries, regulatory bodies and consumer groups.
Delegates and others interested in e-commerce issues are invited to join a discussion of the "The Top ten issues for Global Electronic Commerce" on Friday evening after the summit. This will provide an Australian perspective for the South-East Asian Regional E-commerce summit to be chaired by Senator Alston in Darwin and hosted by Prins Ralston FACS, President of the Australian Computer Society in July.
IRCs are free (but you have to buy your own drinks and one for the special guest) and open to anyone interested: just turn up. Internet Reality Check (not to be confused with Internet Relay Chat) is designed so that members of the 'net community can meet and exchange the small amount of very important information which is not suitable for digital transmission. ;-)
